Regarding the submission of an applicant to the Chief Minister regarding the recruitment of the second phase of the standard VIII to the primary school in the state, the education department has recently made it clear to the applicant in the letter that at present the standard VIII and VIII teachers will not be recruited.
The government, on the other hand, has prepared a 10-year calendar of teacher recruitment. According to the letter dated 19th August, the office of the Director of Primary Education stated that in accordance with the application written to the Chief Minister, as per the order approved by the office here on 31st August, 2018, there is a requirement of 78,056 teachers in standard 7 to 8 in Government Primary Schools of Gujarat State, but there are currently 71,378 teachers. That is, there is a decrease of 8.56 percent teachers against the approved placement. Whereas, on the basis of the setup register for the year 2018-19, 70 teachers from standard 6 to 8 will be retired throughout the year. Apart from this, a total of 3,262 vacancies were filled up from 6th to 8th standard by advertisement on 15th October, 2018.
Notably, the government has set a 10-year recruitment calendar. Accordingly, 2 thousand vacancies are allowed per year from 6th to 8th standard. So now on August 31, 2019, there will be recruitment against the vacant post after the sanction is granted.
TAT-1/2 pass will dream of 3 thousand candidates
In primary school, Tat-1 exam is taken to be a teacher in grades 1 through 5, while Tat-1 exam is taken for grades 6 through 8. During the year-2015 and the year-2016, more than 21 candidates passed the Tat-1 examinations. As many as 2,850 places have been recruited.
In the examinations conducted in the standard 6th to 8th year-2015 and year-2017, about 90 thousand candidates were declared pass, against which 11,500 candidates have been recruited. Thus, there are more than 70 to 75 thousand candidates who have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test. However, even if the passed candidates have given the exam twice, even though 50 thousand candidates have passed the exam, they will face unemployment now.
